According to the IPMA, around 130 municipalities in the districts of Bragança, Vila Real, Braga, Viana do Castelo, Porto, Aveiro, Viseu, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Coimbra, Santarém and Portalegre and four municipalities in the district of Faro are at maximum danger of rural fire.

The IPMA has also put almost the entire remaining territory at very high and high danger of rural fire, with the exception of two dozen municipalities on the coast, on a day when the districts of Bragança, Vila Real and Braga are under red warning (the highest) because of the hot weather.

According to IPMA forecasts, the districts of Bragança, Vila Real and Braga are under red warning because of the heat until 18:00, while the districts of Guarda and Castelo Branco are an under orange warning until the same time (the second higher).

Minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 16 degrees Celsius (Setúbal) and 24 degrees (Faro) and maximum temperatures between 28 (Sines) and 41 degrees (Évora).
