According to the Associação dos Industriais de Automóveis sem Condutor (ARAC), among the total number of vehicles purchased by rent-a-car companies operating in Portugal, there are 4,602 light passenger vehicles and 354 light goods vehicles, a number which, according to the association, indicates that “rent-a-car continues to clearly assert itself as the largest buyer of new motor vehicles in Portugal”.

In total, the Portuguese market for passenger and light commercial vehicles ended the month of July with a sales volume of 16,369 units, registering a growth of 17.4% compared to the same month of the previous year.
