“Madeira, due to its outermost insular condition, cannot be
subject to abrupt fluctuations in market prices and must be protected”, said
Miguel Albuquerque, stressing that the option for the regulated market was “a
good option”.
Regarding the fluctuations in electricity and gas prices,
following the energy crisis and the war in Ukraine, the President of the
Regional Government stated that these will always occur depending on the
regulated market.
“That is, they will always be subsidised prices. It will
never be the price practiced on the free market”, he reinforced.
Subsidised electricity just means you're paying twice.
When will my countrymen learn?
