Our monthly lunches start again in the central Algarve on the 8th September and the Eastern Algarve on the 14th September. We are looking for a volunteer who could arrange lunches in the Western Algarve – so if this could be you please contact us now.

Our next large event is “A JUBILEE BAND CONCERT” with the City of Southampton Albion Brass Band on Sunday 25th September at Mario’s Restaurant in Albufeira. This 34 strong band will be playing a selection of traditional marches, songs from the musicals, pop songs and English Folk songs climaxing in the Britannic Salute with Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory. A three course roast dinner will then be served, followed by a party night with dancing to the magical sounds of Suzanne Wilson. A real bargain evening for just 24 Euros per person.

October sees our Poppy Appeal launch coffee morning with musical entertainment at the Holiday Inn on the 26th October.

November and it is time for the highlight of the year – our Annual Dinner Dance on the 5th November which includes cabaret coming from England just for the night as well as music for dancing with “Collar and Cuffs”. A visit from a very special “surprise guest” is also planned.

A week later on the 13th November we hold our Remembrance Service at St Luke’s Church in Palhagueira followed by our special lunch at the Restaurante Horta in São Brás de Alportel.

To finish the year in December we have our Christmas Lunches in the East on the 7th December and Central on the 11th, both with musical entertainment.
