Named after the owner, who found the six-month Tabby on the road outside their restaurant. “It was in a sad state.” Jenny Clarke, President of The Association for Protection of Animals Algarve, took young Tabby home with her, setting puss up in a small area in the back bedroom. APAA’s strength is helping wherever they can when they can. “Unfortunately, we don’t have enough members who are able to take on the Carla’s of our world.” Their motto is ‘Here to Help’. “Little girl has a broken pelvis. This is a touch-and-go situation, either it will heal with some help or the poor cat will not survive.” Her back legs have been rendered almost useless. “But she’s a little fighter! She is absolutely determined to haul herself in and out of the litter tray.” Growing stronger and waiting for the Vet to give the go-ahead for any surgery to be carried out at the right time. “We are all keeping our fingers crossed for her!” Indeed. The costs are significant with this kind of surgery, but we are already receiving offers of donations for her care and hopefully a full feline recovery. She will be young enough to be homed. Any takers? (She will be SNiP’d of course).
