In a joint statement, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), a
group with investments in several leading sports brands and businesses
worldwide, and Sporting de Braga explain that the signing of the share purchase
and sale agreement has already been disclosed to the Market Commission (CMVM)
and to the market.
The conclusion of the purchase of SC Braga shares by QSI
“will take place in the coming months, subject to certain conditions”, adds the
note.
SC Braga men's football team has competed in the Primeira
Liga since 1975, and is currently in 3rd place.
Qatar Sports Investments is one of the main sports groups in
the world. In addition to owning Paris Saint-Germain F.C., it is also known for
the creation of Premier Padel, the world's leading professional padel circuit,
and for investments in other sporting assets.
According to Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, President of QSI, quoted in
the statement, “Qatar Sports Investments is proud to invest in world-leading
