Temperatures back up to 30 degrees

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) predicts rain for today. However, from tomorrow onwards, temperatures will start to rise and on Wednesday, temperatures are to reach almost the 30 degree mark.

On Tuesday, Santarém and Évora will be the hottest regions, with maximum temperatures reaching 27ºC. In the Azores and Madeira, the thermometers will rise to 26ºC, as well as in Braga, Castelo Branco, Lisbon, Setúbal and Beja. In Porto, temperatures will reach 25ºC. Despite this small increase, the rain today is set to continue tomorrow in Coimbra, Leiria, Évora, Beja, Sagres and Faro.

On Wednesday, the sun will shine in most Portuguese regions. Only in the Azores, Madeira and Bragança are partly cloudy skies expected.

Évora, Beja and Setúbal will reach 29ºC, Santarém and Castelo Branco at 28ºC and Braga 27ºC. Lisbon will be at 26º and Porto 24ºC.

Interesting, yet here in Australia when it should be daytime temperatures approaching 25 to 30C in early Spring Australia has had it wettest and coldest Spring in recorded weather history (over 175 years). Most of Southern Australia on the Eastern Seaboard is now waterlogged and severely flooded. If we are in such a climate emergency then why is Australia suffering its worste recorded floods in recorded history?
