Mercadona supermarket has announced an 11% increase in
workers' entry salary and ensures that no one will receive less than 1,414
euros gross monthly.

The entry salary of workers in Portugal will be 12,410 euros
per year, starting in January 2023.

I got confused. You said minimum wage would be 1414€ per month. Then you said 12410€ yearly (considering a bad comparison of 12 months that ends up with 1034€. Finally and thats very important to bring up. Portuguese receive in 14 months basis not 12. So yearly divided by 14 will end up with 886,42$ just 100€ above minimum wage.
