“In light of the information we have today, there is no
intentional infiltration of the security forces, as has been seen in other
countries”, said José Luís Carneiro, in the parliamentary committee on
Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Freedoms and Guarantees.
At the hearing on the alleged involvement of members of the
PSP and GNR in practices that violate the rule of law, namely in the
dissemination of racist, xenophobic, misogynistic, and hateful messages, the
official explained that the political orientation is clear in the face of these
attitudes.
“In the face of demonstrations, facts, concrete evidence of
behaviour, attitudes that violate fundamental values must be reported to the
authorities” who have internal and external mechanisms to investigate these
cases”, he explained.
State of Denial, much? It´s still a reality witnessed and experienced by those of us that have eyes/ears/heart/brain. (You´re not in luck, since I happen to be white while not lacking those aforementioned attributes.) I know because every time I stood up for s.o., I consistently got “demoted” and by default ended up getting the same type of treatment as the people I stood up for. LIARS.
