The German government is
considering bringing in stricter gun laws in a bid to remove weapons from far-right extremists from the Reichsbürger movement.

Germany's Interior
Minister Nancy Faeser told the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag that
the government had plans to tighten its gun laws,
in response to the discovery of a suspected far-right
plot to violently overthrow the state.

Here we go. Just as happened in NZ, stricter gun laws that affected only those that abide by the law. Criminals do not heed the law, so it is ineffective. Harsher sentencing may deter, or at least remove the threat for longer periods. If you disarm a nation, you give the government no need to fear upsetting its population!
