“As has already been publicly announced, TAP is reviewing
its internal mobility policy, so this [check of 450 euros] is a transitional
solution”, said an official TAP source in response to the newspaper.
It should be recalled that in October it was reported that
TAP ordered 50 BMW vehicles for management and directors to replace the Peugeot
fleet under an operational leasing contract. However, the company ended up
withdrawing from the decision, after criticism from the unions and the
President of the Republic.
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa said that “in a period of
difficulty, an effort must be made to set an example of restraint”, and
considered that this is “a problem of common sense”.
“Restraint”? (LOL with snort) “Restraint” would be paying them monthly for a public transportation pass, so they can use buses and metro, AS EVERYONE ELSE. This? This is a mockery at tax payers´ expense.
