In mainland Portugal and in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, clocks must be set forward one hour when it is 01:00, changing to 02:00.
In the Azores Autonomous Region, the change will be made at 00:00, changing to 01:00.
The time will then change again on October 29, for winter.
The current regime for changing the time is regulated by a directive (community law) of 2000, which provides that every year the clocks are set forward and backward by one hour on the last Sunday in March and the last Sunday in October.
The summer solstice takes place on June 21st at 2:58 pm.
