"​AT is aware that some taxpayers are receiving e-mails supposedly coming from AT referring to a possible tax return, in which a link is requested", can be read in a statement published on the Finance Portal.

The tax authorities say that "these messages are false and should be ignored", adding that they aim to "convince the recipient to access malicious pages by clicking on the suggested links".

"Under no circumstances should you carry out this operation", concludes the AT.
