The month of July is expected to be hotter than usual according to the forecast by Meteored Tempo Portugal.

According to a statement sent to Notícias ao Minuto, Meteored explains that a slightly higher positive thermal anomaly is expected - between 1ºC and 1.5ºC - for the regions of the country "corresponding to the northernmost part of the district of Viana do Castelo, Northeast Transmontano, small areas of the districts of Viseu and Vila Real, the coastal strip between Porto and Melides (district of Setúbal) and all or almost all of Alentejo and the districts of Lisbon and Santarém".

Although heat as extreme as in July 2022 is not expected, the occurrence of a heat wave has not been ruled out.
