After being moved to a hamlet in County Galway, the renowned JJ Devine's bar from the Oscar-nominated Banshees of Inisherin will reopen for business.

The thatch tavern, a favourite of singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, was constructed on location in Achill Island, Co. Mayo, for the movie's filming.

The now-famous bar was moved and refurbished at a family-owned pub in Kilkerrin, Co. Galway, following the success of the movie, for which Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Kerry Condon, and Barry Keoghan all got Oscar nominations.

Luke Mee who is the owner of Mee’s Pub rebuilt the famous location behind its bar. He claimed that in order to maintain the integrity of the movie, they delayed the pubs business to make sure everything was spot on.

Luke spoke about the new pub: “A few people said is it a replica, but it's not, it's actually the structure from the movie".
