The National Road Safety Authority (ANSR), the GNR and the PSP police will launch on Thursday the Drink Driving Road Safety campaign which aims to raise awareness of the risks of driving under the influence of alcohol.

The campaign, which runs until next Wednesday, includes ANSR awareness actions and inspection operations, by the GNR and the PSP, say the authorities.
The awareness actions take place in conjunction with the inspection operations scheduled for Avenida de Ceuta (Lisbon), IC20 - Km7- towards Almada/Costa Caparica (Setúbal) Avenida Saraiva Carvalho, Figueira da Foz, A4 – Praça das Portagens de Amarante , towards Porto-Amarante and at Rotunda da Cadeia, Faro.

Make those criminals walk. If they still haven't learnt the basic rules of driving they shouldn't be driving and killing others on the road.

Conscious decision to behave dangerously on the roads , such as drink driving, MOB use, tailgating , speed in excess of 40kph above limit , all require a deterrent, confiscation of vehicle seems to fit that nicely.
