The increase in stock was sharp in the last year in many cities, most of which exceeded 50%. In Lisbon (147%) and Porto (107%), the offer of rooms for rent more than doubled. It also rose a lot in Leiria (96%), Aveiro (67%), Coimbra (50%), Faro (29%). In Braga, the offer of rooms for rent increased by only 10% in one year.

Despite rising stocks, prices for rooms for rent rose in all cities analysed. It was in Braga where room rents rose the most, being 35% more expensive than a year ago. This is followed by Setúbal (27%), Faro (27%), Coimbra (23%), Lisbon (20%), Aveiro (18%), Leiria (17%) and Porto (14%).

Lisbon continues to be the city with the most expensive rooms in Portugal, where prices average around 506 euros a month, followed by Porto (400 euros a month), Setúbal (380 euros a month), Faro (380 euros a month) , Aveiro (355 euros per month) and Braga (350 euros per month). On the other hand, of the analyzed cities, the most economical to rent a room are Coimbra (270 euros per month), Leiria (270 euros per month) and Santarém (290 euros per month).
