A fire has been raging on the southeast slope of the Monchique mountain range, in the area between Picota and Fornalha, since 2:51 pm.

The fire is already being fought by 13 air means, including a helicopter.
There are 263 operators on the ground, supported by 75 vehicles and 13 air assets.
Everything indicates that the flames are evolving in an area that had already been destroyed by the fire of 2018.
