This event features a diverse programme including musical performances, sports, cultural activities, and traditional food stalls. The main venue will be the fairground, complemented by a tent to ensure the comfort and convenience of visitors and vendors.

On March 15, Portuguese singer, composer, and musician, Virgul, whose career gained momentum by joining the famous band Da Weasel, will take the stage at the festival. Other artists among the lineup are Sérgio Rossi, Sons do Minho, and David Antunes & The Midnight Band with Emanuel Moura, as well as local talents and bands such as Renovação 3, Organista Beto, Grupo de Cavaquinhos e Cantares Figueira Sênior, Grupo Folclórico de Riba Côa, DJ Popey, and DJ Ruben F.

In the cultural and sports segment, the highlights are the traditional Almong Blossom Walk, a mountain biking competition, urban athletics, traditional games, and the first edition of the Almond Blossom Folklore Festival, with the presence of the Grupo Folclórico de Riba Côa, Rancho Folclórico e Etnográfico de Oleiros, Rancho Folclórico de Vimioso, and Rancho Folclórico Flor do Campo. Dedicated to younger audiences and families, students from Zumba Kids and Tik Tok Dance will perform “Grease Fever vs Funk Dance”.

According to Carlos Condesso, Mayor of Figueira do Castelo Rodrigo, “this event holds great symbolic importance for our municipality, as it is the region’s oldest tourism attraction, celebrating nature with landscapes adorned in white and pink blossoms while promoting our local products alongside cultural, artistic, and historical elements in a unique symbiosis”.

The blooming of the almond trees is one of the most iconic sights in the Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo region, attracting thousands of tourists from across Portugal and Spain each year. This festival celebrates a natural heritage of unparalleled beauty, which in 2025 will commemorate its 84th anniversary.
