There will be a total of seven stations in Phoenix Park, including those at the People's Gardens, Parkgate Street Entrance, Phoenix Roundabout, Dublin Zoo, and Phoenix Park Visitor Centre.

A public bus connecting Phoenix Park to other modal hubs was one of the main recommendations made by the Phoenix Park Transport and Mobility Options Study in July 2021 to promote active transport.

The National Transport Authority, Dublin City Council, and Fingal County Council have all been in regular contact with the OPW as they have looked at options for implementing this advice.

A prototype bus service from Heuston Station to the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre will soon be available, the NTA recently stated.

For the duration of these operations, traffic management will be in place, so people moving through the park can anticipate brief delays.

To orient pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers around the temporary construction, signs will be posted.

Dublin Bus will start operating a new bus route later this autumn, bus number 99, once the requisite infrastructure is in place.
