The seasonal vaccination campaign will start in the second half of September and will take place simultaneously with the flu, both being free for all people over 60 years of age and for other priority groups that will still be defined by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).
The Government has committed to paying 2.5 euros for each Covid vaccine given in community pharmacies, similar to what is paid for each flu vaccine. According to ECO, this amount covers both logistics and administration. Of this amount, pharmacies will have to pay a portion to the pharmaceutical industry distribution for the delivery of vaccines, the amount of which has not yet been finalized. When questioned by ECO, an official source from the Ministry of Health said only that the ordinance related to this matter “awaits joint publication with the Ministry of Finance, so it is untimely to provide more information”.
I tried to follow the science, but it wasn't there.
I then followed the money, that's where I found the science.

Hart, we think alike. I just cannot believe that people still fall for this nonsense! Tax payers pay to get themselves taxed? What is the saying about death and taxes again? Let me me say nothing more...

Thank you for this update. I appreciate that Portugal has been so organized about providing Covid vaccines.
