Warnings for periods of “rain or showers, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms”, have been in force since 6:23 am today in all districts, except Bragança, where heavy rain is only expected from midday.

In the cases of Castelo Branco, Guarda and Bragança, this yellow warning extends until 9 pm, while in the districts of Viseu, Vila Real, Santarém and Portalegre, the rain is expected to persist until 6 pm.

In Braga, Coimbra, Beja, Viana do Castelo, Porto and Évora heavy rainfall is expected to continue until 3pm, in Aveiro, Leiria and Faro, until 12pm, and in Lisbon and Setúbal it is expected to stop in the middle in the morning.

In the case of the districts of Viseu, Guarda, Santarém, Leiria, Castelo Branco, Aveiro and Coimbra, heavy rain is expected to return on Sunday.

The IPMA also placed several districts under yellow warning for Sunday due to the risk of strong winds from the southern quadrant in the coastal strip, with gusts that could reach 80 kilometers per hour.

This is the case of Braga, Coimbra, Aveiro, Leiria, Viana do Castelo and Porto.

The maximum temperatures predicted for today in mainland Portugal will range between 15 degrees Celsius in Guarda, and 25 in Beja, Setúbal, Santarém and Aveiro.

Minimum temperatures will range between 12 degrees Celsius in Vila Real, Viseu and Guarda, and 19 degrees in Aveiro.
