Similar to what happened with the Sacramento Kings, for whom he had a two-way contract, Queta, 24, will be able to play for either the Boston Celtics or the secondary team, the Maine Celtics, to be used in NBA games, as well as in games played by the Development League (G-League)'s second team, the Stockton Kings.

The centre signed a “standard contract” with the Kings in August of this year, but was let go and became a free agent, giving him the option to sign with any other team to continue his career.

The Sacramento Kings selected the 24-year-old centre forward in the 39th overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draught, making him the first Portuguese participant in the competition.
