Lisbon: From Friday temperatures are to fall in the capital and rain is forecast on both Saturday and Sunday, when temperatures will peak at 25 degrees with lows of 18 degrees. From Monday the rain is to ease slightly with a mixture of sunshine and showers but it will be feeling cooler with highs of 23 degrees.

The north: Temperatures are to average highs of 25 degrees with lows of 15 degrees and persistent rain on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. From Tuesday it is to be mainly dry with heavy cloud and some sunny spells, while temperatures are to average daily highs of 24 degrees with nightly lows of 10 degrees.

The centre: Light rain on Friday is to develop into heavy showers on Saturday when temperatures are to peak at 24 degrees with lows of 17 degrees. More rain is expected on Sunday but the showers will be lighter with maximum highs of 22 degrees. A chance of rain is to continue for the following week.

The south: The heavy cloud of Friday is to continue on Saturday when temperatures are to reach highs of 25 degrees with lows of 20 degrees. On Sunday sunny spells are predicted along with heavy showers with maximum highs of 26 degrees. From Monday a mixture of sunshine and showers is forecast.

Madeira: Hazy high cloud is forecast throughout the weekend with temperatures reaching highs of 31 degrees and lows of 25 degrees. From Monday intermittent sunshine and showers are forecast with highs dropping to maximums of 28 degrees.

The Azores: Heavy rain on Friday is to clear slightly for sunshine and showers on Saturday with highs of 24 degrees. On Sunday a day of rain is on the cards. From Monday a mixture of sunshine and showers are expected with average highs of 23 degrees.
