Speaking to Lusa agency, Paulo Santos, from the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), said that during that period 394 incidents were recorded across the country, of which 142 were in the municipality of Lisbon and 42 in the Setúbal Peninsula.
According to Paulo Santos, the incidents are mainly related to falling trees, falling structures, cleaning roads and flooding.
“In none of these incidents are we aware of any injuries reported or any road being closed. It is natural that during cleaning operations some roads are temporarily closed,” he said.
At 06:30, more than 40 incidents were registered on the ANEPC website, the majority in Greater Lisbon and the Setúbal Peninsula due to falling trees, structures and flooding.

Eight districts of mainland Portugal are orange today due to strong wind and heavy rain, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
The districts of Lisbon, Coimbra and Leiria are under yellow warning due to the forecast of strong winds and Vila Real due to rain.
Porto, Braga, Viana do Castelo and Aveiro are under orange warning due to wind and heavy rain.
According to IPMA, the remaining districts are under yellow warning due to the forecast of sometimes heavy rain.
The entire Portuguese coast is also under an orange warning today due to sea unrest.
