With these openings, on the 13th and 14th of December, respectively, Aldi Portugal now has 19 stores in the Porto district, eight in Santarém, and a total of 141 from the north to the south of the country.

The new Aldi Paredes and Tomar stores have a total sales area of approximately 1,040 m2 and both have around 80 outdoor parking spaces, an installation for solar panels, reduced mobility spaces reduced, a bicycle rack and electric charging stations.

“It is with great pride and satisfaction that we ended such a challenging year with two more openings and now have more than 140 Aldi stores in 16 districts”, says João Braz Teixeira, Managing Director of Expansion and Construction at Aldi Portugal.

“We continue to have high expectations and plans for the future, namely reaching 200 stores, and this undoubtedly involves strengthening our presence from north to south of the country. Above all, we are working for the Portuguese, not only as our potential customers and so that they can have access to our products and brands but also in terms of the local investment that each store brings to the locations where it operates”.
