Wildlife Haven

Sebastião Salgado and his wife Léia, with the help of volunteers, over 20 years have planted 20 million trees, consisting of 290 different species across over 1,500 acres of desecrated hillsides, recreating a natural forest ecosystem.

In 2001, Sebastião had a dream of restoring the forest near his home state in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Now, his family property is a biodiverse paradise.
