Statistics show that 11% of homes were on the market between two weeks and one month, 25% between one and three months, 37% between three months and one year and 8% more than a year, according to a study by idealista.

Analysing “express sales” by district capital – that is, residential properties that sell in less than a week, taking into account the length of time advertisements last – it is in Braga that we find the highest percentage: 26% of homes sell quickly. Bragança (22%), Aveiro (21%), Funchal (19%) and Coimbra (19%) follow. Below the national average are Porto (17%), Viseu (16%), Guarda (15%), Ponta Delgada (15%), Lisbon (13%), Faro (12%), Setúbal (12%), Évora (12%), Santarém (9%) and Leira (9%).
