Christmas brought an increase in fuel prices, as forecasts indicated, and this increase occurred both in the case of diesel and petrol, according to the average prices published by the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).

Simple diesel increased from €1.547/litre to €1.574/litre between Sunday and Monday, while simple 95 petrol increased in price from €1.622/litre to €1.641/litre also in the same period.

This means that diesel became 2.7 cents more expensive, while straight 95 petrol became 1.9 cents more expensive.
