With the victory, the Portuguese golfer received prize money of almost 22,000 euros and will move up to a decent rank of 128th on the DP World Tour.

His best score of the week was 71, when he posted one under par in the fourth and final round at Al Hamra GC. However, a double bogey on the 18th and last hole cost him the point.

His final score is 276 (-12), having scored 65-70-70 on the preceding days.

In Ras Al Khaimah, the noteworthy winner was 34-year-old Danish man Thorbjørn Olesen. Over the four days, he recorded 261 (-27) with scores of 69-62-63-67, putting fellow countryman Rasmus Højgaard six strokes behind.

Olesen had not won a race since the Thailand Classic in February of last year, and this was his ninth victory on the DP World Tour.
