A flight connecting Tenerife, in Spain, to Birmingham, in the United Kingdom, had to make an emergency landing at Faro Airport, on Thursday afternoon.

According to Sul Informação, there were 220 people on board the Airbus A321-200N from the company Jet2, which had to land due to a "burning smell" on board, at around 4:40 pm.
There were no reports of injuries and the landing of flight LS1266 took place “in complete safety”.
According to RTP3, the runway was closed.
