The group will renovate the Quinta das Vistas Palace Gardens Hotel, which will be renamed the Quinta Funchal Palace Garden Hotel, with opening scheduled for 2026 and will be marketed under the Royal Hideaway brand.

The hotel chain also says that it will build a new hotel in the historic centre of Funchal, next to Mercado dos Lavradores, which is scheduled to open in 2025. The establishment will have four stars and will be marketed under the Occidental brand.

With the incorporation of these two new accommodations, the Barceló hotel group "consolidates its presence in Madeira", starting to operate four hotels under its brands: Royal Hideaway Hotels & Resorts, Barceló Hotels & Resorts, Occidental Hotels & Resort, and Allegro Hotels.
