“There will be a significant improvement in the weather and also a significant recovery in temperatures in the coming days. Temperatures will start to rise on Tuesday, and on Wednesday they are to rise again, reaching over 30 degrees in some places,” he said.
According to the meteorologist at the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), today there may still be some light showers and a drop in the minimum temperature.
“On Tuesday we will see an increase of around five to six degrees and on Wednesday it will rise again. The lows only rise on Wednesday, with cold mornings expected today and Tuesday,” he said.
According to Pedro Sousa, maximum temperatures above 25 degrees are expected from Tuesday and are to reach or exceed 30 degrees in the Alentejo, the South of the country, and the Tagus Valley.
“Temperatures are to be stable throughout the week, and there may be a downward trend over the weekend, but at least until Friday there doesn't seem to be much change,” he said.
