Final preparations are underway for the grand inauguration of the city's newest entertainment facility and premier nightclub, which is scheduled for Saturday, May 18.

The goal of the new D'Olier Street venue is to combine a contemporary, "bougie" fit-out and decor with the traditional clubbing ideals and standards of Dublin in the 1990s.

The club opens against a backdrop of establishments and nightclubs closing as a result of COVID-19 lockdowns.

They stated, “Many of today's kids just don't know the nightclub standards and offerings their parents had, since four out of every five nightclubs in Ireland have closed since 2000.”

“The nightclub sector here is now so little that it barely makes up 0.6% of Ireland's overall licenced liquor market.”

“Dublin needs new venue options to keep the city buzzing and alive, given its rich history of nightlife.”

SoHo Dublin is a multiuse location created to serve all facets of the city's nightlife.

SoHo Dublin has a lot planned, including live music events, theatrical productions, corporate book-outs, fashion exhibits, and club nights throbbing with the sounds of top Irish DJs.

Irish hospitality stalwarts Jerry Harrington and Paul Hayden are driving this project with decades of combined expertise and a desire to bring back Dublin's nightlife.

The location has a wall of digital screens behind the DJ, which projects images onto the dance floor in time with the music.

They claimed that SoHo, an industry severely impacted by closures, is generating new employment and reviving Dublin's stagnant nightlife.

“Music from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s is what people want to hear. You may spend a single night in three different clubs since there are three separate rooms with varied music.

“The Irish youth today have never experienced the high quality and high service of the Dublin nightlife experience we enjoyed in the nineties and noughties,” Jerry Harrington stated, emphasising the value of providing excellent customer service.

“So many of them have rarely had a great club night in general because of the astounding number of closures that have occurred since then.”

“We are going to bring back that same standard older Dubliners in a chic and contemporary setting.”
