Anita Wight’s acclaim to fame is the continued success of their ‘Pop-Up’ Shops story. Her Kings & Queens Royal Regalia Party last year was notably a sell-out. “Mad as it was the ‘Hatters’ get-together on 19 May was a monumental blockbuster of a success.” Excellent. The proceeds of all the Pop-Ups and events held by the Association for Protection of Animals Algarve are for their SNiP campaign. Targeting feral cats creating and maintaining cat-colonies throughout the Algarvean community.

“Spaying & Neutering Programme not only is a proven success but helps other charities and shelters to continue the increasing work-load in their own areas. Not forgetting and just as important too, care of and re-homing abandoned dogs” Jenny Clarke, President, ably assisting with the ‘Hatters’ party, gave it a sincere thumbs-up. “All those involved deserve praise indeed.” Anita’s carport miraculously transformed into a garden centre. Whoosh! Liz supplied the van load of expertly potted assortment of plants. “Sold like hotcakes!” Anita grins. “We had a wonderful raffle and prize for the Maddest Hat.” Josephine undoubtedly won the prize for her over-the-top blue number. In fact, Josephine has been a wonderful winning ‘make-over’ lady. Jenny explains. “She has taken the Alvor shop by storm. No corner, shelf, or rail is left unturned. A veritable whirlwind.” Yikes. “Brought a bit of glamour to the place.” Go on! Alexey did his fair share of singing and strumming along entertaining the gathered guests. He and Leo are staunch supporters and look forward to greeting you at their new restaurant and bar in Portimão. Google ‘The Boys Portimão’ and you can book a table. We had to thank all those who did a whip round for Alla who unfortunately and accidentally locked herself out of her car.
