Portugal is the 10th country with the most expensive gasoline in Europe

In the most recent bulletin from the European Commission, Portugal is in tenth place among the countries with the most expensive gasoline in EU countries, 1.3 cents below the European average and 9.3 cents more expensive than in Spain. Diesel fuel is in 14th place among the cheapest on the Old Continent.

The price difference between Portugal and Spain results from the tax burden, since, without taxes, the price of gasoline is cheaper in Portugal. Without the tax burden, each litre of 95 gasoline in Portugal would cost 83 cents, that is, less than the 88.2 cents in Spain.

Among EU countries, Denmark has the most expensive 95 gasoline in Europe, at 2,019 euros. Ireland 'reigns' in diesel, with 1,719 euros.
