The orange alert was activated in Bragança, Guarda, Faro, and Castelo Branco and will remain in effect until 18:00.

After that, the four districts will be under a yellow warning until 6pm on Friday.

Santarém and Braga are also under yellow warning due to the hot weather until 6pm today, and in Viseu, Évora, Vila Real, Beja, and Portalegre, this alert extends until 6pm on Friday, according to IPMA.

In Madeira, mountainous regions are also under orange warning due to hot weather, in force until 6pm, then changing to yellow until 6pm on Friday, according to IPMA.

The north and south coasts of Madeira, as well as Porto Santo, are under yellow warning due to hot weather until 6pm on Friday.
