In a statement, the group said that the new stores will create 120 jobs, stating that five million euros were invested in Bricomarché 27 jobs are expected to be created, and eight million euros were invested in Intermarché, with plans to hire 90 people.
The new stores' debut of “innovative concepts that will be progressively introduced in other units in the country”, highlighted the group, highlighting that, in the first case, the focus is on a restaurant area that will provide “fresh and healthy food prepared on-site”.
The distribution group said that, soon, a 'coworking' space will also be available on the top floor of the store, justifying this functionality with the need to “respond to the growing demand for flexible workplaces and ensuring productivity and comfort”, reads the note.
The new Bricomarché store will focus on consultancy services for the design of kitchen and bathroom projects, with a large garden area, including an amphitheater similar to a vegetable garden, and there will also be a place to access 3D design programs.
The president of the Os Mosqueteiros Group, Pedro Subtil, considered that the opening of the two new stores in Faro will “transform the shopping experience” for customers.
“These new store concepts will be progressively introduced in other units in the country and reinforce the group's ongoing commitment to offering quality, convenience, and diversity”, said Pedro Subtil, quoted in the statement.
With the opening of these new commercial areas, the group now has 362 stores (267 Intermarché, 59 Bricomarché, and 36 Auto Roady Workshops and Centers) in Portugal.
