The city of Porto will once again host Porto Pride, from the 13th to the 15th of September, in a diverse program that includes conferences, cultural activities, and moments of celebration, promoting meetings between people, institutions, companies, and activists, with the organisation challenge people and cultural agents in the city to propose and organize initiatives during the three days of the event.

On the first day, Friday, September 13th, the event begins with a Human Rights Conference – the Porto Pride Summit, to be held in the afternoon at Porto Business School, with the presence of government representatives, EPOA – European Pride Organizers Association and companies partnering with the event, with the aim of promoting more inclusive workplaces for LGBTI+ people.

According to Diogo Vieira da Silva, general coordinator of Porto Pride, “whenever we announce the event dates, the number of messages from international people we receive asking about the best hotel or the best way to get to Porto is overwhelming, especially from our neighbours in Spain”.

The coordinator of Porto Pride, member of the European Pride Organizers Association (EPOA), Unicorn Whisper – Associação Porto Pride, points out that “the socioeconomic impact of Porto Pride can no longer be ignored”.

In the 2023 edition, Porto Pride had partners such as IKEA, Durex, Lionesa, STCP, Revista LÍDER, Turismo do Porto e Norte, and Rosário Duarte Associados, among others. For the 2024 edition, the following have already been confirmed: Porto Business School, Missão Continente, Blip.pt, Neva Films, and The Queer Spot, among many others.
