According to the National Statistics Institute (INE): “Compared to June 2023, the median value of valuations grew by 6.6%, with the most intense variation being observed in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (17.9%), with no decrease being recorded”, indicates the released note.

According to the INE, 31,720 appraisals were carried out in June, 37.8% more than a year earlier, but 1,061 (3.2%) fewer than in May.

This indicator carried out in the context of housing loan applications, has recorded consecutive monthly increases since December 2023.

The Greater Lisbon region remained the one with the highest value of bank appraisals (2,387 euros/m2), rising 5.1% compared to the same month last year and 40 euros compared to May. Conversely, Alentejo recorded the lowest median appraisal per m2, of 1,095 euros (two euros less than in May, but 8.9% more year-on-year).
