Lisbon: It will be feeling very hot in the capital on Saturday with clear skies and highs of 35 degrees. Some intermittent cloud is forecast for Sunday when temperatures are to fall to highs of 31 degrees. The following week will see average daily highs of 30 degrees with patchy cloud and nightly lows of 18 degrees.

The north: Very high temperatures are forecast for Saturday with highs of 38 degrees and clear skies. On Sunday it will feel slightly cooler as some cloud cover creeps in with highs of 33 degrees. From Monday it will be feeling cooler still with average daily highs of 30 degrees and nightly lows of 15 degrees.

The centre: Thermometers are set to hit highs of 41 degrees on Saturday with tropical nightly lows of 25 degrees. On Sunday clear skies are expected with highs of 39 degrees and lows of 24 degrees. From Monday some intermittent cloud cover is predicted and temperatures are to average highs of 37 degrees.

The south: The hot weather is to continue over the weekend with average daily highs of 31 degrees on Saturday and clear skies. On Sunday some cloud cover is forecast with highs of 29 degrees, dropping to lows of 21 degrees. Thermometers are on the rise again from Monday, reaching highs of 34 degrees by Wednesday.

Madeira: Sunshine and sunny spells are expected over the weekend with temperatures peaking at highs of 27 degrees and dropping to lows of 22 degrees. The weather is to remain stable for the following week.

The Azores: There is a chance of rain on Saturday when temperatures are to peak at 27 degrees and drop to lows of 21 degrees. On Sunday rain is expected but it will still be warm. From Monday it is to be mainly dry with average highs of 27 degrees.
