Visitors to Tamariz Beach in Estoril, Cascais, early on Sunday afternoon were forced to leave the water after spotting what they believed to be a shark in the water.

Lifeguards immediately hoisted a red flag, forcing bathers to get out of the water.
Many thought it was a shark, but in fact, it was a swordfish, measuring around two meters.
