The initiative will have two routes: one of 5 and the other of 10 kilometres. The activity begins with the usual warm-up at 9:00am, with the start of the Run/Walk scheduled for 9:30am.
At the end, and as is tradition, there will be a gathering, where roasted sweet potatoes will be distributed to all participants.
Registration is mandatory, but free, and can be done in person, at the Quarteira Parish Council.
“Quarteira is an active parish and the Sweet Potato Walk and Run is the perfect example of an event that promotes what we stand for: the practice of physical activity in a relaxed manner”, highlights Telmo Pinto, president of the Quarteira Parish Council.
The activity is organised by the Quarteira Parish Council, as part of the Algarve Regional Walk and Run Calendar of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, and in partnership with the Loulé Council.
