Portimão City Council states that the event aims to present solutions and services for foreign citizens living in Portugal, in areas such as health, gastronomy, insurance, crafts and tourism.
At the same time, it adds, it aims to “strengthen the links between the foreign resident community and the Algarve region”.
Organised by the Association of Foreigners Living in Portugal (afpop) in partnership with the Portimão local authority, the fair will take place on Saturday, between 10:00 and 18:00 and, on Sunday, between 10:00 and 16:00.
Look closely and you'll see that most of the products and services promoted at BLIP — much like its AFPOP sponsor — are based and focused on residents living in the Algarve ... not throughout Portugal.

Many of the products/services are available in the Alentejo. For many years I lived in the Alentejo and visited blip and ordered many services from there.

There are no services to learn the Portuguese language. I would like to integrate more in the society.

Olá Debra
I would be delighted to help you integrate more in the society by learning the language. I have been teaching Portuguese, to foreigners such as yourself, for almost 30 years, in person and online, to individuals and groups, and am based in the Algarve. Please contact me on 936949560 and I promise to have you start speaking by the second week, to get that integration going, it will be fun!
