The encounter in the Euro 2025 play-off final drew 40,189 spectators.
It was 9,000 more than the presentation match for FC Porto's women's team last summer when 31,093 people packed the stands at the Dragão against União de Leiria, and double the previous best attendance for a women's national team match (20,123 at a Portugal Ukraine game at the Estádio do Bessa in 2023).
Fernando Gomes and André Villas-Boas recognised the moment as the FPF and FC Porto presidents held out shirts that bore the number of spectators.
