Trust Tairāwhiti has approved up to $6.9 million for phase one of the Victoria Sports and Recreation Hub in Gisborne.

The $30 million project will unite netball, tennis, pickleball, and squash, promoting the collaboration among local sports groups and partners with schools, as well as councils to enhance community access to facilities.
Construction of phase one is set to begin in January 2025, with completion expected by May 2025.
