The districts of Porto, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga will be under a yellow warning between 9 am on Tuesday and 9 am on Wednesday.

The districts of Faro, Setúbal, Lisbon, Leiria and Beja are also under a yellow warning due to rough seas between 9 am on Tuesday and 12 pm on Wednesday.

The IPMA also issued an orange warning for the north coast of Madeira Island and for Porto Santo due to rough seas from 3:00 am on Tuesday until midnight on Wednesday, then changing to yellow.

The south coast and mountainous regions of Madeira Island are also under an orange warning due to the forecast of sometimes heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms between 6pm and 9pm today, then changing to yellow.

The IPMA also issued a yellow warning for the Madeira archipelago due to the sometimes strong wind, with gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour between 3 pm today and midnight on Tuesday.

As for the Azores, the western group (Flores and Corvo) will remain under an orange warning until midnight on Tuesday due to strong sea agitation, then changing to yellow.

Also due to the state of the sea, the central group of the Azores (Terceira, São Jorge, Faial, Pico and Graciosa) will be under a yellow warning until 3 pm on Tuesday.

The orange warning indicates a moderate to high risk meteorological situation and the yellow warning indicates a risk for certain activities dependent on the meteorological situation.
