According to Pedro Araújo, Civil Protection operations officer, in a report by Notícias ao Minuto, the incidents were recorded "mainly" in the Lisbon region, where there were a total of 58 alerts.

289 firefighters and 110 vehicles are involved in rescue operations. Most incidents are "related to flooding and road cleaning".

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has placed the districts of Faro, Setúbal, Lisbon and Beja under a yellow warning due to the forecast of rain. The districts of Setúbal and Lisbon will be under a yellow warning between 11am and 6pm today and those of Faro and Beja between 9pm today and 12pm on Friday.
