In a statement, the airline reveals that the added flights will be introduced in the regular operation between Porto and Ponta Delgada on 17, 21 and 27 April and on the route connecting Lisbon to Pico Island on 25 April.
“Azores Airlines will increase its operations to the Azores during the Easter and the 25th of April holidays. The aim is to meet the expected increase in demand during those periods”, reads the press release.
The company also highlights that there will be an increase in seats on the route between Funchal and Ponta Delgada on the 11th, 18th and 25th of April “through the use of carriers with greater capacity”.
According to Azores Airlines, the SATA company responsible for connecting the Azores with the rest of the world, flights are now available for booking.
“In addition to strengthening operations, Azores Airlines will maintain its usual connections between the Azores and the three airports on the mainland (Porto, Lisbon and Faro), as well as regular connections to North America and the European continent,” the company added.
The SATA group emphasises that it “permanently monitors the evolution of demand”, showing itself available to “introduce capacity adjusted to demand prospects, whenever this proves viable from an operational point of view and is justified from a commercial point of view”.
