The photovoltaic park aims to meet approximately one-third of the annual electricity consumption of the company's industrial unit in Seixal.
In total, 14,740 solar modules will be installed on the factory's land and roofs. The photovoltaic park will be able to produce 16.8 GWh of clean energy per year, which will contribute to the decarbonization of the sector.
This investment is intended to prevent the emission of more than 2,400 tons of carbon dioxide per year. "This project symbolizes the commitment to decarbonizing the industry, promoting clean energy and a more resilient future for Lusosider, through dstsolar's technological support in the design, engineering, and construction of the project that is now a reality," said Ricardo Cortinhas, executive director of dstsolar, as quoted by Executive Digest.
